FRANKFURTER, Felix (1882-1965) Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court. Nominated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Served on the Court for 23 years.  Typed letter signed, one full page on the imprinted stationery of the Supreme Court of the United States, Chambers of Justice Felix Frankfurter,   Washington,  November 20, 1953 to George E. Farrand (attorney). Frankfurter writes: “Thanks for sending me your comment on the issue raised by the Standard Law Review.  How surprising that so sensible a man as Chief Justice Gibson should have taken the position he did, but how gratifying that he retracted his steps. Of course you were as right as rain is wholly right......If you did not want me to be charmed by Stephen’s wife you should not have brought her along....”  Two ink corrections in his hand. He signs this letter with a bold signature and together with the original envelope.  Two file holes at the top of the letter otherwise in very good condition...................$550.00
