FORRESTOR, Jay (1918- ) American pioneer computer engineer. He designed the aircraft flight simulator for the U.S. Navy. He is the inventor of the magnetic core memory store, the industry standard for computer memory known as Random Access Memory (RAM). He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame (1979).
