The heading of the text is in blue as well as the title of “Oath of Office” and “Remarks”. This broadside contains Ford’s Presidential “Oath of Office” and his “Remarks” made to Mr. Chief Justice, his dear friends and his fellow Americans. In Ford’s remarks he states “My fellow Americans, our long national nightmare is over. Our Constitution works; our great Republic is a Government of laws and not of men. Here the people ruleā¦” This broadside is one of the most handsome Presidential collectible items to ever come on the market. It will most likely also be one of the rarest as of the 175 copies, it is said that President Ford kept half of the edition.
