FORD, Gerald R. (1913-2006) 38th President of the United States (1974-1977). 40th Vice-President of the U.S. (1973) under Richard Nixon.  Ford was the only person never elected to the office of U.S. President and Vice-President. He was a member of the Warren Commission to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
