 Known as “The Mexican Lindbergh”

FIERRO, Roberto
(1897-1985).  General in the Mexican Army who fought in the 1910-1920 Revolution both for and against Pancho Villa. He also did some work in Hollywood.  He became one of Mexico’s most famous aviators.   After one of his notable flights flying non-stop 1,612 miles in a plane built in Mexico,  crowds yelled “now we have an aviation industry.” One of his noted flights was the first flight from Mexico City to Havanna, Cuba.  Very scarce signature “Roberto Fierro” on a card adding “Mexico, May 9, 1920.” Fine condition............................. $85.00
