One of the Earliest Known Signatures of Elizabeth II as Queen
ELIZABETH II (b. 1926). Queen of England he reign began 6 February 1952 until the present. Her coronation was 2 June 1953.
ELIZABETH (Queen Mother) (1900-2002). Queen consort of George VI from 1936-1952. Queen consort of Ireland and Empress of India.
Magnificent partly printed document signed, appx. 12"x15". Elizabeth II appoints Humphrey Clifford Lloyd a Commander of Our Royal Victorian Order. He is a member of the Fourth Class of Our said Royal Victorian Order on whom has been conferred the Decoration of the Military Cross one of our Gentlemen Ushers Captain in our Army. Given at our Court of St. James...and the seal of Our said Royal Order this First day of June 1953. very boldly signed "Elizabeth R". Countersigned "Elizabeth R" Grand Master (Queen Mother) and also signed by "Scarbrough" Chancellor.
Choice embossed seal at upper left corner of this choice document which has never been folded. In "as new" condition.
