ECKNER, Dr. Hugo (1868-1954). German aeronaut, Director of the German Aerial Navigation Co, President of the Zeppelin Co, builder and designer of the Graf Zeppelin in which he circled the earth in 1929. Photograph, 5”x7”, B&W, head and shoulders pose of Eckner facing left. Signed on the light portion of a window most likely on the Graf Zeppelin. He wrote the word “To” as he probably started to inscribed the photo but changed his mind. Hugo Eckner is scarce in signed photographs................... $750.00
