DAVIS, Varina Jefferson (1826-1906). Photograph, 2.5”x3” of Mrs. Davis in old age. Mounted to the photographer’s mount to 3.5”x5”, Mrs. Davis is sitting in a chair, holding a cane and looking directly into the camera. Signed in full and dated “1898” in her hand on the lower portion of the photograph (not the mount). This is one of a very few photographs of Mrs. Davis we have seen and this is a wonderful example................ $1895.00  |
