DAHANAYAKE, W.  (1901-1997).  Sri Lankan political figure. Prime Minister of Ceylon (1959-1960) after the assassination of his predecessor.  The name of Ceylon was changed to Sri Lanka on May 22, 1972. Four by six inch card boldly signed “W. Dahanayake, P.M. Ceylon.”  He dates this signature “14.4.72” just a month before Ceylon changed its name to Sri Lanka. Folds from mailing otherwise fine..............$35.00
