T.L.S. as Vice-President Elect
COOLIDGE, Calvin (1872-1933). Born on Independence Day. 30TH President of the United States (1923-1928). He led the nation through most of the Roaring Twenties. T.L.S. as Vice-President elect, Governor of Massachusetts, on the imprinted stationery of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a colorful State Seal. December 22, 1920 to Mr. Francis Prescott. Coolidge writes: “In the applause that goes to the successful candidate it sometimes happens that those who have made success possible are over-looked. This is especially true of the chairman of political committees. Having held that office myself I know how important it is and that you may know that I think of it not only before election but at other times. I wish to thank you and through you the members of your committee for your patriotic services and offer you the greetings of the season.” Signed with a large ink signature of Calvin Coolidge.
