King of Greece In Exile
CONSTANTINE II (1940- ) Succeeded as King upon the death of his father King Paul in March 1964. His reign was from 1964 through the abolition of the Greek Monarchy in 1973. Constantine went into exile but was allowed to re-enter Greece for just a few hours to attend his mother’s (Queen Frederica) funeral in February 1981. In 1992 Constantine was stripped of his Greek Citizenship and passport.
