CASTLE, Irene (1893-1969). Noted dancer, part of the famous team Irene & Vernon Castle. Typed letter signed, one page on her name imprinted letterhead. June 29, 1948. To Jack Fife, c/o Paul Kohner, Inc. She writes about Fred Astaire and herself possibly doing Castle numbers of that fascinating 1914 era. She mentions she could never dance with girls. Also mentions that she doesn’t know if she would like to spend the rest of her life in Hollywood making pictures.
