Murdered, Shot Three Times In The Head
CALLAHAN, Bill (1926-1981). Popular Broadway actor, singer and dance during the 1940’s. Best known for “Chicken Every Sunday” (1949). In 1981 he moved to Wisconsin and was involved in a multi-million dollar embezzlement scandal. Both he and a female dancer were found murdered. Both were shot three times in the head. Vintage photograph, 3.5x5.5, postcard, of a head and shoulders pose, smiling, looking directly into the camera. Boldly signed in fountain pen: “To Vernon Best wishes Bill Callahan.” Quite scarce in signed photographs and this is in fine condition................................$145.00
