Rare Signature of Stephen A. Calder
CALDER, Stephen A. (1900-1977). Major real estate developer in South Florida. Gulf Stream Park West renamed Calder Race Course a thoroughbred racing facility in the Miami area. It was opened on May 6, 1971, to a crowd of over 16,000 fans. In 1999 it was purchased for 87 million dollars by Churchill Downs. It was reopened as a Jai-alai and Calder Casino. Original International Certificate of Vaccination Against Yellow Fever Approved by the World Health Organization issued to Stephen A. Calder. Signed by Stephen A. Calder and signed by Doctor David C.
