CAGNEY, James (1899-1986). American actor and dancer. Known for playing tough guy roles. He is listed as #8 as one of the greatest male stars of the Golden Age. Cagney won an Academy Award for Yankee Doodle Dandy (1943). Ronald Reagan as President delivered the eulogy at Cagney’s funeral. Original crayon art work in color of a house, tree, sun and blue sky. It is reported that Cagney crudely drew this item for a young boy that was hospitalized in Philadelphia. Boldly autographed by Cagney with a huge signature. He used a ball point pen.
