BURBANK, Luther (1849-1926). American horticulturist; took up gardening (1868) and developed the Burbank potato in Burbank, Ca. It was the first practical result of his experiments with plants. He later began experiments to develop more varieties of cultivated plants. Desirable full signature which he adds “Santa Rosa, Cal.
