FLEW FIRST NON-STOP FLIGHT OVER THE ATLANTIC
BROWN, A. Whitten (1886-1948) American aviator, on June 15, 1919 he made the first non-stop flight across the Atlantic. He flew from Newfoundland to Clifden, Ireland in 16 hours and 12 minutes. The distance was 1900 miles. The plane crash landed. Brown was Knighted afterwards. Newspaper photograph measures appx. 5.5”x6” of the plane crash with an inset, head & shoulders pose of Brown.
