Rare Original Sketch of Hagar
BROWNE, Dik (1917-1989). American cartoonist best known for writing and drawing Hagar the Horrible. Browne was the courtroom sketch artist at the Lucky Luciano trial. Browne created the logo for Chiquita. In 1973, Hagar the Horrible was born, he was an ill-mannered red bearded Medieval Viking. Browne was the recipient of many awards. On Hagar the Horrible printed letterhead Browne has drawn a color sketch of Hagar the Horrible in color, full length, holding a mug of beer and leaning on the arm of a sofa.
