BROOKS, Capt. Arthur Ray. (1895-1991). American fighter pilot in WW1. Flew with the 139th and 22nd Sqdn/2nd Pursuit Group/AEF in France. Ace, credited with 6 victories. Brooks took on a squadron of German Fokker planes, single handedly and downed 5 of them in one aerial combat. Lengthy two page biographical sheet, most interesting. Brooks has inscribed and signed and dated this item at the top of page one. He writes: ”For Doug Miller from Ray Brooks, Oct.20, 1986. All Best. Please do not give out my address, at 91 I’m not able to respond further”......................................$87.50
