MAJOR WERNER FREIHERR VON BESCHWITZ SIGNED LT. EDITION PRINT, co-signed by artist J.G. KECK. Wonderful lithograph by artist J.G. Keck, published by the King’s Crown Gallery in 1989. Limited to 500 numbered and signed copies by both J.G. Keck and Werner Freiherr von Beschwitz. Measures appx: 19”x25”. After the printing of these lithographs, the printing plates were destroyed. As new condition. Maximilian Richard Hans Christoph Werner Freiherr von Beschwitz (19 January 1915 - 25 May 2011) was a highly decorated Major in the Wehrmacht during World War II and an Oberst (colonel) in the Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Beschwitz joined the postwar Bundeswehr in 1956 and retired in 1973 as an Oberst. This print is numbered 149 of 500 copies.................SOLD   |
