Tim Berners-Lee and Al Gore

BERNERS-LEE, Tim  (1955-    ). English computer scientist who created the World Wide Web. Knighted by Queen Elizabeth in 2009.
GORE, Al  (1948-    ). 45th Vice president of the United States. Actor. Recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize (2007).  The World Wide Web is credited by many scholars as the beginning of the Internet.  Al Gore stated “During my service in the United States Congress I took the initiative in creating the Internet.”
Weaving the Web, The Original Design and Ultimate Destiny of the World Wide Web by Its Inventor. Tim Berners-Lee.  Harper, San Francisco, 1999, First Edition so stated. Two hundred twenty-six pages. In very fine condition with dust jacket.  Signed with a fine inscription: “For Kids helping Kids” Tim Berners-Lee, 2005 3/11.”  Excellent silver ink signature of Al Gore tipped in.  Anything signed by Tim Berners-Lee can be considered quite uncommon. Another very similar copy with an inscription (less Gore’s signature) can be found on Abe Books selling for $1600.  Our price...............................$375.00
