First Prime Minister of Israel
BEN-GURION, David (1886-1973). Israeli statesman born in Poland, settled in Palestine in 1906. Helped found the Ahdut Ha-Avodah part in 1919. It was his leadership that was largely responsible for the implementation of the U.N. Resolution recommending the establishment of a Jewish State in part of Palestine. He signed the Israeli Scroll of Independence and became the first prime Minister of Israel (1949-1953) & (1955-1963). Blank postcard which a Spanish collector has affixed a newspaper portrait of Ben-Gurion. Signed by Ben-Gurion in Hebrew under his portrait. His name and birth date added by the collector. On the verso is a biographical sketch of Ben-Gurion. Quite attractive and would look well framed....................$595.00
