His Declaration was the Driving Force to the Establishment of the State of Israel
BALFOUR, Arthur (1848-1930) Known as Lord Balfour, served as Prime Minister of England from 1902-1905. He is remembered for his WW1 statement, the Bafour Declaration, expressing British approval of Zionism. This was the driving force to the establishment of the State of Israel. Balfour was a friend and worked closely with Chaim Weizmann. Balfour succeeded Winston Churchill as First Lord of the Admiralty. Wonderful signature on a large slip together with a larger slip with the writing from a secretary “With Lord Balfour’s Compliments.” The two pieces are in fine condition.................$95.00
