HIS HIGHNESS MAHARAJADHIRAJA BAHADUR (Sir Uday Chand Mahtab) (1905-1984). Installed as Maharajadhiraja Bahadur of Burdwan in 1943. Chairman of India Red Cross Appeal (1943-46). Typed letter signed on his official embossed letterhead. Calcutta, 9 March 1971. He writes to an American collector sending an autographed photograph (not included) and wishes the collector success as a young artist and writer.
