Very Rare Watercolor of Neil Armstrong, Signed
ARMSTRONG, Neil (1930-2012).American astronaut, first person to walk on the moon, July 20, 1969. A One of a kind, original watercolor of Armstrong floating in space holding an American Flag, with the moon and stars in the background. Original ink drawing of the head of President John F. Kennedy with the written statement in ink “In a very real sense, it will not be one man going to the moon…it will be an entire nation.” John F. Kennedy-1961. The watercolor and sketch was painted in 1994 by artist Bruce Petush to be published in “The News-Sun” in July 1994. Inscribed to the artist: “To Bruce Neil Armstrong, 10-16-94.” Extremely rare, it is well known that Armstrong basically stopped signing autographs in the Spring of 1994. Obviously this very special item is an exception. Overall size 8”x11’ on artist board. In excellent condition ....................SOLD
