ANTHONY, Susan B. (1820-1906) American social reformer and woman suffrage advocate. She attempted to have the 14thAmendment extended to include women. In 1869, she co-founded the National Woman Suffrage Association (President Elizabeth Cady Stanton), which merged with the American Woman Suffrage Association to create the National American Woman Suffrage. Anthony served as president (1892-1900) and honorary president (1900-1906). Wonderful conclusion to an autograph letter signed. Complete in itself she writes: “Isn’t that full equal to the old-time-tar & feather ways!!’ Truly yours, Susan B. Anthony.” .........$1250.00
