Ladbroke Estate in Nottingham Hill
ALLOM, Thomas (1804-1872). Architect, artist, and illustrator. Founding member of what became the Royal Institute of British Architects. He designed numerous buildings in London, he was one of two architects to design the Houses of Parliament. His topographical works include Constantinople and the Seven Churches of Asia Minor, published in 1838 and China Illustrated, published in 1845 Very uncommon autograph letter signed one and a half pages, Park View Shanklin, Isle of Wright, 18 June 1861. He writes: “....returning to London from the Isle of Wright today, hoping to make arrangement to meet and explain more fully what is wanted. I will either do it myself or recommend someone who can.
