Scientific Observer on the Hiroshima Mission

AGNEW, Harold  (1921-2013).  American physicist best known for having flown as a scientific observer on the Hiroshima bombing mission. He took along a movie camera and took movies of the event over Hiroshima.  On Titian he carried the plutonium core of the Nagasaki Fat Man Bomb. He became the 3rd Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory.  Using a black ink Sharpie pen, Agnew has drawn the bomb blast over Hiroshima as he remembers it. Signed in full. Overall size, 8”x10”. Excellent condition.
