SIMPSON, O.J. (1947- ) Retired American professional football player, broadcaster and convicted felon. First professional football player to rush more than 2,000 yards in a season. Elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1985. In 1995, Simpson was acquitted of the murder of his former wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. A judgment against Simpson for their wrongful deaths was awarded in civil court for $33.5 million dollars. Famous words in his case were: “If it doesn’t fit (glove) you must acquit”. Simpson wrote a book: “If I Did It” in 2006. Typed quotation signed: “I did it, you know I did it and I would do it again. No regrets!” Boldly signed with a very large signature.
