SIMPSON, O. J. (1947- ) Retired American football player. Once known as the most famous running back in football history. Winner of the Heisman Trophy. He may be best known for his California car chase, arrest and trial (1994) for the murder of his former wife and her friend. In 2008, Simpson was convicted of 12 counts of robbery and kidnapping. He was sentenced to 33 years in prison. Simpson is currently serving his sentence in Lovelock, Nevada. Typed quote from the murder trial: “if it doesn’t fit, (glove) you must acquit.
