PAUL, Gabriel (1910-1998). Executive Major League Baseball between 1951 and 1984. as General Manager and president of the New York Yankees. In 1973, Paul sold his interests in the Indians and joined the New York Yankees. Paul helped Steinbrenner rebuild the Yankees in 1974. CLAY, Kenneth (1954- ). Pitcher for the New York Yankees He was believed to be one of the top pitching prospects of the New York Yankees. Two times World Series Champion (1977, 1978). Following his career he could not stay out of trouble. In 1986 he faced 20 years in prison for four counts of Grand Larceny for stealing $30,000 from a school ring company where he worked. In 1992 he stole a car from a dealership and was sentenced to five years in jail. While in jail more of his thefts were uncovered and a judge added 3 additional years of jail time . During 1999, he forged checks and was sentenced to 15 years probation. In 2006 he forged a buyer’s signature on 3 documents for a supposed purchase of an expensive copy machine. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison. Uniform Player’s Contract The American League of Professional Baseball Clubs. On the back page, Kenneth Clay has agreed to the terms and signed his name twice as a player. He dated his signature 1 December 1974.
