GACY, John Wayne (1942-1994) Notorious America serial killer, sex offender who tortured and killed at a minimum of 33 boys. At least once he climbed into a coffin and fondled a young dead boy. Gacy was dubbed the “Killer Clown.” He spent 14 years on death row before he was executed by lethal injection. Original color painting by John Wayne Gacy while on death row.
Large size 14”x18.” Three colorful sparrows on some tree branches with flowers. Signed in full using red ink near the bottom right portion of the painting “John Wayne Gacy.” Painted on an Artists Canvas hard panel Gacy has filled in a few lines on the verso: “Title “Sparrows 1167” Artist he signs his name “John W. Gacy” and Medium, he writes “Acrylic 1167.” In addition, he writes “I hope you enjoy these sparrows as much as I enjoyed doing them for you Best wishes John W. Gacy.” This three line inscription was the idea of Stephen Koschal and Gacy would write similar inscriptions on all paintings ordered by Koschal.
