King of Greece-Twice Abdicated
Constantine I (1868-1923). King of Greece (1913-17) & (1920-22). Twice abdicated. Commander in Chief of the Hellenic Army. Autograph letter signed, two full pages on the imprinted stationary of the Hotel Continental, Paris. Dated 6 July 1908 to a Dear Mrs. Chauncey. Constantine writes: “Many thanks for your kind letter and invitation. Please excuse my not answering before, but I am so violently occupied being social that I have hardly got a minute to myself. I shall be delighted to dine with you any day you like. I shall be in London next Sunday evening and if you allow me I shall come and see you and you might tell me then. Pity there’s no Abbaye in London, Yours sincerely, Constantine”. In very good condition. Handwritten letters by Constantine are not common......... $295.00
