9/11 Collectibles

Air Force One, Original Air Force One Security Badge for the year 2001. President George W. Bush left Sarasota, Florida on 9/11/2001 after being advised of the attack on the World Trade Center in New York City. Air Force One was the only plane flying on 9/11 after the attack. It was the deadliest terrorist attack in American History. Two-thousand nine hundred seventy-seven people were killed.  The president was on a flight for eight hours along with his top aides and secret service
Rare, colorful, and heavy Air Force One, Security Forces, 2001 Badge, three pins on verso for attaching to a uniform. Engraved on verso “Misuse of Badge subject to Prosecution” and number “252.”
Together with a 3”x5.5” card with a color portrait of Col. Mark W. Tillman (12th Presidential Pilot of Air Force One.)  Col. Tillman commanded Air Force One through multiple national events. Most notably, he protected the President and his staff on the day of September 11, 2001 by escaping and evading many potential threats. Through careful planning and flawless decision-making, Col. Tillman and his crew provided two urgent needs for the President--complete safety and constant connection to the nation's first responders. President Bush's seemingly impromptu Thanksgiving visit to the United States military in Iraq was another highly regarded success of Col. Tillman and his crew. The challenge was unprecedented--transport the most targeted man in the world into the heart of terrorism. One mistake would have left the President open to attack and cost the lives of US service members. Col. Tillman personally orchestrated and executed the covert operation with flawless success. His planning, done in complete secrecy, allowed for a complete surprise to the entire world including the press. Signed in pencil by the pilot with his full signature. Both items in mint condition. Choice collectibles and perfect for framing ...................$375.00
