RARE AUSTRIAN ARTIST/SCULPTOR
LYDIS, Mariette (1894-1970). Born in Vienna, she also lived in Argentina and Paris. Noted painter of women, children and oppressed people. She illustrated many books. Exhibited actively in Paris, Milan, Amsterdam, Vienna, London, Geneva and the United States. She held solo exhibits in Buenos Aires (1945) and in Paris (1948), (1955) and (1959).
