D'AMADE, Albert (1856-1941) French General, commander of the French Dardanelles Expedition Forces in 1915. A.L.S., 1pg., on his rubber-stamped printed letterhead. Gironde, Jan. 18, 1932. In English. d’Amade explains that he has been Commander in Chief (1907-09) in Morocco and then he states: “I shall be glad to know some options of American civilian, naval and military authors about that country. As you are a student of military history, perhaps you can give me the title of books and editions of such books (on Morocco) by American authors. I will find or order them in Paris.” Signed in full.
