Co-Founded the Militant Group The Weather Underground
AYERS, Bill (1944- ) Co-Founder of the Weather Underground, a militant organization, revolutionary group that sought to overthrow the United States Government. They conducted a campaign to bomb U.S. buildings and Ayers participated in several of the bombings. Ayers was hunted as a fugitive by the FBI for several years. His book: Fugitive Days, A Memoir. Beacon Press, 2001, two hundred ninety-five pages. On the title page Ayers has written: “Peace! Justice! and he has drawn a self-portrait. He continues to write: “To Sam- with hope for a future fit for all-a world of peace and in balance- Stay strong- Bill Ayers.” In very fine condition with a V/G dust jacket in a protective wrapperard Nimoy”.
